  • Medical Assistant/ Unit Clerk- Full-Time and Part-Time
    Job Summary:

    The Unit Clerk provides a clerical support function at the nursing station. Clerical support includes telephone communication, typing, data entry, scheduling of some personnel and requisition of medical supplies from Central Supply.

    Responsibilities and Duties:•Makes new admission chart to unit and initiates forms in preparation for admission, any faxed printouts to the appropriate department

    • Faxes when needed;
    • Maintains an orderly and neat nurses’ station;
    • Screens all incoming phone calls for nursing and forwards messages, schedules appointments with physicians for the residents; relays the information to nursing;
    • Initiates any phone calls to the physician, family members or personnel as directed
    • Types as directed by Nursing Administration;
    • Maintains a current bathing schedule on the bath record for nurse aides
    • Greets visitors, guests, residents, etc. and provide information/directions in accordance with company policies and procedures;
    • Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere, which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights;
    • Ordering medical supplies, under the direction of the DNS;
    • In the planned absence of the Central Supply Clerk, the Unit Clerk will fill medical supply requests.
    • The Unit Clerk will also act as Relief Receptionist for lunch breaks.
    • Takes photos of residents for nurses MAR and makes ID bracelets for residents.
    • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
    • Experience with medical terminology and transcription is preferred.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Must have strong organizational ability.
    • Must be able to handle a variety of assignments, some of moderate complexity and requiring considerable familiarity
    • with the operating details of the facility.
    • Must be able to interpret and apply departmental procedures.
    • Must be able to be courteous and tactful at all times.
    • Must be able to operate a typewriter and computer.
    • Must demonstrate discretion in handling of confidential information.
    • Must have good manual dexterity.
    • Must provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.
    • Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.

  • CNA’s and HHA’s Full time and Part time

    The Allendale Community for Senior Living is looking for Certified Nurses Aide (CNA) / Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA).

    We offer full time and part time positions for all shift

    Looking for:

    Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

    • Full-Time and Part time
    • All shifts; must be available to work every other weekend.

    Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA)

    • Full-Time and Part time
    • All shifts; must be available to work every other weekend.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Provides assistance for residents with Activities of Daily Living including, but not limited to, personal hygiene and comfort, safety ambulation and nutrition.
    • CNA/ CHHA encourages their residents to achieve their highest function.
    • Performs personal care services required to promote/maintain adequate cleanliness, including bath, oral hygiene, combing hair, back care, dressing resident, AM/PM care, restorative nursing service care as necessary throughout the shift.
    • Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere, which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights;

    C.N.A’s/ CHHA must have a New Jersey Professional Licensure.

  • Receptionist- Part-Time

    Allendale Community for Senior Living is currently looking for a part-time receptionist.

    Duties includes:

    • Responsible for operation of the switchboard and paging system
    • Answers all incoming calls, redirects them as needed
    • Greets visitors and gives direction to residents and visitors
    • Supports clerical activities
    • Maintains current list of residents by name and room number, list of telephone numbers for all personnel, list of department extensions, names of key personnel and their extension numbers
    • Coordinates and sorts outgoing and incoming mail to the facility
    • Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere, which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights
    • Maintains a clean and organize work setting
    • Performs other duties as requested

    Shift:
    4:30pm-8pm
    Occasional weekend

  • RN and LPN – Full Time /Part time

    The Allendale Nursing Home is looking for Registered Nurses (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) that would be responsible to assess, plan, and evaluate care for each resident. The RN/ LPN will administer medications, implement care plans, and communicate with staff, family, and healthcare practitioners. The Allendale Nursing Home is a patient-centered care facility that incorporates the following:

    RESPONSIBILITIES for RN/LPN :

    • Coordinates nursing practices toward restoring and maintaining a holistic approach to meet all residents’ physical, emotional, behavioral, psychological, familial, spiritual, social, and nutritional needs.
    • Maintains open communication with staff, residents, families, volunteers, and medical practitioners.
    • Performs other duties such as medication administrations and treatments.

    QUALIFICATIONS for RN/LPN :

    • Communication and interpersonal skills to develop relationships with residents, staff, and providers
    • Genuine desire to work with the elderly
    • Graduate of accredited school of nursing with a diploma or degree
    • Licensed as an RN/LPN in New Jersey
